CPoint Academy

Your Lighthouse for Learning
CPoint from the student's point of view.
The lighthouse in our logo represents a signal to all of those who are lost so they can find their way back to where they need to go. Everyone has a destination in life and we help to guide them to that destination with our beacon of hope.
We give kids an alternative to the public school system. It doesn't matter your background or your academic standpoint, we accept everyone. When this school was established there was a glimpse of hope and we could see our futures in college and having a great job. We are here for those lost in their school life and wondering what to do next.

Nel Harrison
Learning/Academic Coach
Hello, my name is Nel Harrison. I live in Payson Arizona. My husband and I started CPoint Academy when we saw the need for an alternative to the local district. I came to the field of education from a varied career background. I received a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University in 2016. I graduated in 1994 from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication. I have a passion to see all students gain the tools they need to be equipped to follow the career, vocational or college path, that best fits their unique skill set.
David Ray Harrison- Mr. Ray
Director of Operations
As I was growing up I had 19 foster brothers and sisters as well as my 5 natural siblings. This environment gave me the knowledge and skills I would need in the work I’m doing today. I have a unique perspective and understanding of different situations kids have in their home lives. My childhood gave me the desire to see all kids succeed in the individual and social decisions they face in life. Today, I have years of experience and skill acquired by using the knowledge afforded me in my childhood.
My management and human relations skills are really no different, I have been in many types of management roles. Hospitality, Construction, Retail, Property and Facility Management are just a few of my many skills. I feel all my experiences and skills were given me for the express purpose of helping young minds understand and manage, as well as choose, the paths for their lives.
It is my intention and passion to pass on my knowledge and experiences to our youth. I see a growing and desperate need for a well-rounded education in order to give them a launching pad from which to take the independent and confident steps into their lives.

Dr. David Harrison
Board Chairman
"Dr. Dave" gives a new meaning to "Chairman of the Board." He is just as likely to let the kids put a pie in his face as he is to tell them how to be "ladies and gentlemen." He loves the kids and will do whatever is needed to see them succeed. He is a man truly dedicated to quality education.
Marilyn Harrison
Enrollment Coordinator
& Academic Coach
Our coordinator in Congress is a true coordinator indeed. She is the organizational core of our Congress location as well as being "Mom" to our Payson Leaders.

Support Our School
Give Our Students the Tools to Succeed
At the moment we do not have a permanent brick and mortar school building. The funds will go towards new computer equipment, building a new school for us, as well as getting the word out of our new school and our mission. We would all be so grateful for your donation. Thank you.
